Why Sandblasting Instead of Scrubbing or Pressure Washing?

Pressure washing cleans the surface. Sandblasting removes what is bonded to it: old paint, rust, mill scale, sealers, and stains that soak into concrete and stone. It also leaves a clean, roughened profile, which is what a new coating needs to grip. That is why blasting is the standard prep before a new coat of paint, sealer, or primer.

Blasting pressure and media are matched to each surface. Brick, stone, and older wood get a gentler approach so the material underneath isn't damaged; steel gets the aggressive profile its coating spec calls for.
